Digimon Story: Time Stranger will be on both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch this summer, and for those wondering how the two versions compare, we have some screenshots that give you a better look at things.
Where the two consoles different will come down to the technical side of the experience. This was previously confirmed in a Nintendo Direct, but on Switch 2, Bandai Namco is planning two different modes. Performance gives you a 1080p resolution and up to 60 frames per second while Quality Mode is 4K (1080p in handheld mode) at up to 30 frames per second. Also note that HDR is only supported in Quality Mode.
New information here concerns the the Nintendo Switch version. According to the official website, this only gives a single option of 1080p docked / 720p handheld at 30 FPS.
Graphically, again, the two versions are pretty comparable. Subtle differences include sharpness and lighting adjustments for the Nintendo Switch version. It goes without saying, but there isn’t any support for 4K or HDR.
