This comes after the US-Iran talks, originally scheduled for Friday in Switzerland, were postponed.
Vice President JD Vance, who is leading talks for the US, canceled his planned departure for Switzerland last night. It is still unclear whether Vance will be in Switzerland for the negotiations this weekend.
President Trump made a rare trip to Camp David for the weekend, The Gateway Pundit reported.
According to Axios, Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Abdul Rahman al-Thani is in Switzerland to mediate the talks.
The memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran faced a test early on Friday after Hezbollah and Israel traded strikes.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, both Israel and Hezbollah agreed to a renewed ceasefire following Hezbollah strikes that killed four Israeli soldiers and Israeli strikes that killed dozens in Lebanon.
President Trump said in a Friday interview with NBC that he called Israeli officials to personally request their buy-in to the ceasefire.
Representatives for Israel and Lebanon are expected to hold talks in the US next week, CBS reports.
