Amazon Has a Ridiculous Amount of Good 4K and Blu-ray Movie Deals for Prime Day – IGN

Amazon’s infamous Prime Day has just kicked off, but the massive online retailer has already revealed a massive list of TV and movie deals for day one of the deal frenzy. This four-day sale is easily one of the best times to add to your physical media collection as you’ll have a hard time finding something that doesn’t have at least a slight discount.

I’ve scrolled a seemingly endless list to pull out deals that are genuinely good, but with any sale this big, I highly recommend taking some time to search for anything that may have been on your wishlist.

The Latest and Greatest Movies

This is just a list of standout 4K movie deals, mainly focused on the most recent releases and particularly popular 4Ks at IGN. Recent hits include the most recent Best Picture winner, One Battle After Another, as well as fellow 2025 standouts, Sinners and Weapons. Going back a little further we have a spread of Christopher Nolan films as well as classics like The Fifth Element.

Franchise Box Sets

Now this is where you can get some real bang for your buck. If you’re a fan of a particular franchise, box sets get you a full movie marathon in addition to a solid piece of decor. My top recommendation? You’ll never regret having your own copy of The Lord of the Rings trilogy or better yet, the 6-film 4K collection. The Dark Knight trilogy also has a particularly notable discount that drops the full 4K collection below $30.

TV Deals

Similar to movie box sets, getting your favorite TV series on DVD or Blu-ray ensures that you’ll always have a guaranteed way to rewatch it. It also adds a little texture to any physical media collection.

Prime Day discounts extend to everything from prestige mini-series like HBO’s Chernobyl to long-running cartoons like the Adventure Time complete series box set. Fir fans of horros shows, It: Welcome to Derry season 1 is one of the most recent releases with a Blu-ray that’s dropped to its lowest price yet.

Prime Day Is Dangerous for Physical Media Collectors

Prime Day deals have just kicked off, and its worth looking through the heaping pile of discounts for anything you may have on your wishlist. Other retailers have also unleashed their own sales in an effort to compete with the giant, including Walmart dropping its own spread of 4K deals.

Amazon Prime Day is generally one of the best times to buy 4K movies for a good price, even compared to a bigger sale like Black Friday. If you’re hoping to pad you collection with some more discs, this sale is the time to look for deals.
