Agitators attempt to block entrance of New Jersey’s Delaney Hall ICE facility

Federal agents at one point were seen ripping a megaphone out of an agitator’s hands after she yelled in their faces at close range with the device.

Clashes between anti-ICE agitators and federal agents continued on Monday morning, coming after days of increased tensions outside New Jersey’s Delaney Hall ICE facility. Agitators have alleged inhumane conditions inside the facility, with detainees beginning a hunger strike on Friday.

Agitators were seen locking arms outside the facility in a standoff with federal agents, who told the group repeatedly to back up, per footage from Freedom News TV.

Federal agents at one point were seen ripping a megaphone out of an agitator’s hands after she yelled in their faces at close range with the device. The federal agents pushed the group back again, with some agitators shouting “shame on you.”

The group chanted, “we want justice, we want peace, we want ICE off our streets.”

At one point, the agitators were seen clashing with federal agents over another barricade that had been set up outside of the facility’s entrance, ripping the plastic barricade out of the agent’s hands and returning it to where it was.

A truck attempted to leave the facility, which a man blocked with his body. “Let him out, he’s cool,” one person is heard telling the man, before the truck is eventually allowed to leave. Barricades that had been set up by the group on Monday appeared to have been taken down, with the materials returned to the dumpster in which they were found.

Per the Bergen Record, some agitators had remained outside the facility overnight. Kason Little, a Black Lives Matter organizer, told the outlet that the agitators are “vetting any car that comes in or comes out to ensure that our siblings are not being set up for failure.”
