Actor Michael Rapaport Blasts Fellow Celebs for Terrorist Support

Order Michael Finch’s new book, A Time to StandHERE. Prof. Jason Hill calls it “an aesthetic and political tour de force.”

In 2022, the late great David Horowitz and I published a Freedom Center pamphlet titled, The 20 Dumbest Hollywood Hatemongers: Celebrities Unhinged, which included the hysterical and profane outbursts of such notable Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferers as Robert DeNiro, Cher, Rob Reiner, and Rosie O’Donnell. At number six on the list was actor Michael Rapaport, recognizable from prominent supporting roles in Woody Allen’s Mighty Aphrodite and TV’s Friends, among others.

Never let it be said that we at the Freedom Center are averse to acknowledging credit where credit is due. I am genuinely if guardedly pleased to report that Rapaport, 55, has moderated his unhinged Trump criticism since the publication of that pamphlet – or more precisely, since the savage Hamas attacks in Israel of October 7, 2023 – and become one of Hollywood’s most scathing critics of the antisemitic far Left.

This is not to say he has seen the light and gone full MAGA. He likely will not ever make the 180-degree political conversion that conservatives like Horowitz and I made (and yet, hope springs eternal).  He remains a critic of the President and Trump supporters overall, but has defended Trump on Israel and held nothing back when it comes to savaging fellow celebrity supporters of Hamas.

On his I Am Rapaport podcast released Friday, Rapaport unloaded on approximately 200 celebrities who signed onto a letter demanding that Israel release convicted terrorist Marwan Barghouti, who is serving five life sentences for Second Intifada murders.

The letter from the “Free Marwan” campaign calls on the United Nations and “governments of the world” to “actively seek the release of” the evil bastard from an Israeli prison, claiming he has endured “violent mistreatment and denial of legal rights whilst imprisoned” and insisting that his freedom is key to reviving the Palestinian statehood process.

The celebrities who signed onto the letter include the usual privileged, Left-wing suspects who love to virtue-signal their misplaced compassion for cop-killers and terrorists: British novelists Margaret Atwood (The Handmaid’s Tale), atheist Philip Pullman, and mixed-race Zadie Smith, who has earned literary fame and fortune (an estimated $24 million) while complaining about white supremacy and colonialism; actors Sir Ian McKellen, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, and insufferable activist and beta male Mark Ruffalo; musicians Sting, Paul Simon, Annie Lennox, and Brian Eno; and other willfully ignorant, self-satisfied useful idiots from the hermetically-sealed bubble of the entertainment arena.

Barghouti was captured by the Israeli Army in Ramallah in April 2002 and charged with terrorism and the murders of 26 people. Throughout his trial, he maintained his support for armed resistance to the Israeli occupation. Ultimately, he was convicted of five counts of murder, each carrying a life sentence. Rapaport has stated publicly that Barghouti “is an animal—he’s a terrorist, and he ain’t ever getting out. He’s right where he should be, and he should die in prison.”

On his podcast, Rapaport told it like it is, spicing things up with his trademark profanity:

I trip out off of this, but there is an animal, a terrorist animal, a jihadist terrorist animal, Marwan Barghouti, who is a convicted murderer, planned and executed numerous terrorist attacks. Killing dozens of innocent civilians.

And now you got the cast of characters rolling out, fighting for his release like he’s the Central Park Five or Nelson Mandela, or an innocent convicted killer who’s been sitting on death row. Richard Branson, Mark Ruffalo, Benedict Cumberbatch, Sting. Oh, no, “every step you take, every move you make, I’ll be watching you,” Sting, you fuck, you.

“200 people signed a letter trying to free this piece of bleep. Marwan Barghouti and I’m thinking to myself, you know how many innocent Americans are in prison?” Rapaport added, speaking about Americans in jails here in the U.S. who may have been improperly convicted. He continued,

Let me tell you something about your little hero, Marwan Barghouti. Sting, Mark Ruffalo, and the rest of you, he’s not getting out. Annie Lennox. Ian McKellen, Tilda Swinton — Alan Cummings, another one!

Rapaport went on to blast actor and gay rights activist Cummings, who was the chairman of the LGBTQ Pride Parade in Tel Aviv, for refusing to go to the Palestinian-controlled areas while he was in Israel.

I know he didn’t go to the West Bank, Judea and Samaria. I know he didn’t go to Ramallah or Bethlehem or Jenin, because they don’t have LGBTQ pride in those places. They don’t have that in Palestine.

Rapaport’s message to the signers of the Free Marwan letter?

Your guy’s not getting out. He’s an animal, he’s a dog, he’s a murderer. Okay? And if you really, really care about innocent people, there’s so many people in your respective countries that you could be fighting for.

But this is about Jews, OK? This guy in 2002, this piece of shit helped orchestrate a bombing at a seafood market. Limbs of children were scattered across the floor while parents were screaming over the bodies of their babies.

A disco, 35 teenagers, burning alive, he did that and you’re trying to get this fucking guy out of jail?

“Benedict Cumberbunch, Sting, Javier Bardem, and the rest of you creep cocksuckers,” Rapaport concluded. “I don’t get it. I don’t get it. People love scumbags.”

Well, Left-wing activists like the 200 celebrities who signed a petition to free a ruthless, mass-murdering jihadist certainly love scumbags, because the neo-Marxist Left always sides with the criminals and terrorists they view as “oppressed” by white capitalist power structures. For this purpose, Israel and the Jews are lumped in with that oppressor class, and Palestinian terrorists are viewed as their victims.

Michael Rapaport may not be ready to don a MAGA cap, but give him credit for breaking ranks with and publicly condemning fellow celebrities who support Jew-hatred and jihad.
