Oklahoma Republican gubernatorial candidate Mike Mazzei argued that Flock surveillance cameras should only be “used for proper law enforcement work when a judicial warrant is part of the process.”
During an appearance on Breitbart News Saturday, Mazzei highlighted why he had received President Donald Trump’s endorsement.
“President Trump won all 77 Oklahoma counties three times in a row. And, the reason President Trump endorsed us is because of my long list of conservative accomplishments as an Oklahoma state Senator, and a Oklahoma secretary of finance. I passed some big tax cuts. I killed corporate welfare for green energy scams. I rescued the almost bankrupt pension systems for the people of Oklahoma, that is, retired teachers, police officers, firefighters,” Mazzei explained.
“We saved the taxpayers $10 billion, and I know how to save billions more to make Oklahoma a no-income tax state, and abolish property taxes for seniors and veterans. Contrast that with my opponent, who the President calls a Republican, ‘a liberal Republican in name only,’ he sued to stop the legislative ban of transgender surgeries for minors. He donated to Joe Biden and eleven other liberal Democrats that ran against our Republican stalwarts in Oklahoma.”
In a post on Truth Social on Tuesday, Trump threw his support behind Mazzei, stating that he has his “COMPLETE and TOTAL Endorsement for Governor.” Trump also described Mazzei’s Republican opponent, Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond as a “FAKE Republican” who donated to former President Joe Biden.
When asked about his opposition to how Flock surveillance cameras are being used, Mazzei quoted a friend and supporter who said, “We need more cameras on elected officials, not cameras on the people of Oklahoma.”
“The Flock cameras have been sort of metastasized into a surveillance system in violation of our constitutional freedoms of searches and seizures. They’re collecting all this data when they were supposed to be just used to get license plate information to find out illegal immigrants and uninsured motorists on the roads.”
“But it’s turned into this system of just watching everybody all the time in some of these cities, versus what really should be happening is only being used for proper law enforcement work when a judicial warrant is part of the process.”

Mazzei continued to speak about how the United States needs to “lead the world in artificial intelligence,” adding that that means “massive amounts of processing power.”
