The 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, headlined by Bad Bunny, as well as Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour,” have received nominations for the 2026 Emmy Awards.

“The Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny” received nine Emmy nominations, the most ever for a Super Bowl halftime show. According to a report by Variety, the categories include outstanding variety special (live), production design for a variety special, choreography for variety or reality programming, technical direction and camerawork for a special, directing for a variety special, hairstyling for a variety, nonfiction or reality program, and lighting design/lighting direction for a special.

At the time of its performance, the halftime show drew criticism from many conservatives who argued it was anti-American. Turning Point USA hosted a competing halftime event featuring Kid Rock, while Bad Bunny’s performance at Super Bowl LX featured songs performed entirely in Spanish and included the display of numerous Latin American flags.

Taylor Swift’s concert film “The Eras Tour: The Final Show” was also nominated in the variety special (pre-recorded) category. This is the second Emmy nomination for Swift, who is credited as a producer on the special.

Additionally, the Eras Tour was nominated in categories including picture editing for variety programming, directing for a variety special, technical direction and camerawork for a special, and sound mixing for a variety series or special.

Voting for the Emmy Awards is scheduled to conclude on August 26. The Creative Arts Emmys will be awarded on September 5 and 6, while the Primetime Emmy Awards are set to be announced on September 14.
