On the PS Store until 4th August

Sony hasn’t messed with the rollout of its PS Plus Essential games (for now), so today marks when you can get all your subscription titles for July 2026. The three fresh efforts are available now in the UK and Europe, and shall roll out to the USA later in the day.
As a reminder, here’s what’s available from today until Tuesday, 4th August 2026:
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (PS5, PS4) | Review
- For the King II (PS5, PS4)
- CrossCode (PS5, PS4) | Review
As long as you add the games to your PSN account and maintain an active membership, you will always have access to the titles — they’ll always remain playable and be tied to your profile.
The overall sentiment regarding this month’s lineup of PS Plus Essential games has not been positive, as our latest weekend Poll indicates. 49% of our readers reckon it’s a “crap selection”, and only 6% are even slightly happy with the offering. This hasn’t gone down well.
