Metroid Ravenous has apparently been leaked for Nintendo Switch 2.
A listing for the game supposedly surfaced within Brazil’s Ministry of Justice and Public Security system. The page has already been removed, but not before a screenshot was taken.
Here’s a snapshot of the classification:

The listing doesn’t provide any specific details about the game. However, the classification indicates 2026 as the production year.
Metroid Ravenous could very well be the next 2D Metroid title from Nintendo. It’s been about five years since the last game, so that’s plenty of time to have a new project ready. Metroid Dread launched for Nintendo Switch at the end of 2021.
If we were to further speculate, MercurySteam would be the most natural candidate behind this one. The studio previously teamed up with Nintendo on Metroid Dread as well as Metroid: Samus Returns for Nintendo 3DS.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond previously came to Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch at the end of last year following a nearly decade-long wait. Retro Studios finally shipped the game after it was first announced in 2017. Retro was not originally tied to that game, but took over after development restarted in 2019.
Just as we always do, we’ll mention that there has been no announcement from Nintendo at this time. That said, it’s looking very likely that this is real. We’ll of course keep you updated if anything official is shared in the future.
