June 18 (UPI) — An Australian man teamed up with cyclists in Britain to break the Guinness World Records for the largest and smallest penny farthings.

Dan Bolwell brought his creations to the June 13 City of London Nocturne cycling event, where Neil Laughton, head of the Penny Farthing Club, took the 9-foot, 3-inch bicycle — dubbed “Big Bertha” — for a 330-foot ride.

Laughton, who had to wear stilts just to reach the pedals, successfully completed the ride, making him the new co-holder of the title for the world’s largest rideable penny farthing along with Bolwell.

Bolwell earned his second Guinness World Record for the day when Woodward siblings Flo, 7, and Finn, 6, each took a ride on a penny farthing measuring just 2 feet tall. The tiny bike, dubbed “Little Bee,” earned the record for the world’s smallest rideable penny farthing.
