May 19 (UPI) — A Maryland woman took some advice from her sister-in-law and scored a $77,000 prize from a Maryland Lottery scratch-off ticket.

The Maryland Lottery said the woman and her sister-in-law, who is a frequent lottery player, were visiting the Exxon station on Reece Road in Severn when they bought some tickets.

“I tell her to buy tickets. You never know when you are going to be lucky,” the winner’s sister-in-law told lottery officials.

The woman selected a $10 Triple Red 7s Multiplier ticket and scratched off the $77,777 prize.

“I’ve been doing it for years and she just plays a couple of times, and wins,” the sister-in-law said.

The player, who collected her prize money at lottery headquarters in Baltimore on Monday, said she is not yet sure what she will do with her winnings, but she is considering the purchase of a new car.
