May 18 (UPI) — Firefighters and police in Massachusetts came to the rescue of a 2-year-old boy who got his head stuck between balusters on a staircase inside his family’s home.
Emergency responders were called Friday morning to the Beverly home where the toddler, named Theo, was stuck.
“We couldn’t get his head out, and it was very scary, right, Theo? We don’t know how you got it in there,” the boy’s mother says in a video of the rescue.
The mother used an iPad to play a Bluey cartoon to keep Theo distracted while firefighters and police worked to pull the balusters apart.
Theo’s head was safely extracted from between the bars and he was then treated to a tour of the fire truck.
