The Grotesque Charade Continues in Barcelona

On April 14, the BBC reported that “Spain’s government has approved plans to give legal status to 500,000 undocumented migrants, allowing them to be integrated formally into the workforce. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez described his government’s decision as both ‘an act of justice’ and a necessity for Spain.”

Sánchez explained that Spain simply had to have these migrants, who are overwhelmingly young Muslim men from North Africa, in order to “build the rich, open and diverse Spain that we are and to which we aspire.”

On May 2 in Barcelona, a migrant from Morocco showed the depth of his gratitude for Sánchez act of welcoming and generosity: he stabbed a young woman to death on the street while screaming “Allahu akbar.” In a certain sense, it was an altogether fitting tribute to Sánchez’s amnesty plan, because that plan makes it absolutely certain that there will be more Muslim young men screaming “Allahu akbar” and stabbing people to death on the streets of Spain.

There is, however, some dispute about the particulars of this instance. Remix News reported Monday that several people have been murdered in Spain in the last few days, and noted this about the murder in Barcelona: “The first shocking death occurred on May 2 at the Esplugues de Llobregat where a North African man was arrested on suspicion of having killed an Asian woman with a ‘large knife’ on Joan Miró Street, located near the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital. During the attack, a 59-year-old man was also stabbed by the North African attacker after the elderly man intervened, including by throwing rocks at the attacker, although the older man survived his injuries.”

Remix notes that “there are suspicions that the attack may have an Islamist motive, since the attacker was screaming ‘Allahu Akbar,’ but so far police reports indicate that the attacker is being treated for psychiatric evaluation.” Claiming that an Islamic jihadi is mentally ill is an extremely common way that European authorities avoid having to face the fact that their continent is now overrun with Islamic jihadis, thanks to their suicidal mass migration policies.

The Daily Mail, however, at least partially backs up the claim that this murderer screamed “Allahu akbar,” stating: “The knifeman who stabbed a woman to death in a Barcelona suburb on Saturday shouted ‘Allah’ before targeting his young victim, eyewitnesses claimed.” Did he scream “Allahu akbar” or simply “Allah”? That is a distinction without a difference if there ever was one.

The Daily Mail also added, however, that “it was initially reported terrorism had been ruled out as a motive although police declined to comment further, saying the incident remained under investigation.”

All right. Certainly we have seen many, many instances in which a Muslim stabs someone or does violence to him or her in some other way while screaming “Allahu akbar,” and the authorities working on the case say they can’t figure out a motive. In fact, this has been repeated so many times, no matter how obvious it is that the perpetrator is an Islamic jihadi, that it is a joke among those who have noticed.

And yet it still keeps happening. European and North American authorities decided years ago that the global Islamic jihad does not exist, and that therefore, those who perpetrate violent acts in the name of Islamic jihad must be insane, and the real motive must be established through a careful investigation of the available evidence.

This is absurd, and it’s damaging. If Spanish authorities were not busy welcoming in unvetted migrants, they might have thought to put in place some procedures to try to identify Islamic jihadis among those migrants, and to keep them out of the country. Then the young woman who was murdered in Barcelona might be alive today, along with countless others who have been victims of “Allahu-akbaring” jihadis who ended up spending a few months (at best) in a psychiatric hospital and then prowling the streets again.

How many Europeans and others are going to be killed while authorities continue to pretend that Islam is a religion of peace that poses no threat? How many people have to die because our authorities are afraid of being accused of “Islamophobia”? One thing is certain: the murder victim in Barcelona won’t be even close to the last life lost to this refusal to face reality.
