Nintendo has started distribution of a version 1.6.1 update for the Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics app on Switch 2.
Rather than adding a new game, this is about an important bug fix. If you’ve been going through Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, you’ll definitely watch to download the patch immediately.
Players previously reported an issue that caused the game to crash without warning. Nintendo acknowledged the issue on March 24 and confirmed that it was looking into the situation. It was a major issue as players could lose save data unless they were conscious about using save states. Thankfully, the bug has now been addressed.
As of now we haven’t heard about anything else with the Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics 1.6.1 update. If anything else surfaces, we’ll be sure to let you know.
