According to a new report, Google’s upcoming Pixel 11 series will be among the first – perhaps even the first – to get Samsung’s new flagship M16 OLED display panels, beating out iPhones to the switch, and Samsung’s Galaxy series too.

Samsung Display’s upcoming M16 OLED panels, ETNews reports, will first launch on the Google Pixel 11 series, the iPhone 18 Pro models, as well as the foldable iPhone. The report doesn’t mention release dates but, looking at the typical pattern, Google’s release would come in August, at least a month prior to Apple’s.

What’s new with the M16 panel is unclear, but Samsung’s displays typically continue to get better with each new generation.

The Galaxy S26 series still uses an M14 panel, so Samsung is unlikely to switch to M16 panels until next year’s Galaxy S27 series.

Google has been using Samsung’s panels for the past few years, with an increased focus on display quality following the Pixel 8 series’ launch and the debut of “Actua” displays, though BOE panels remain in the mix even down to the Pixel 10 series.
