Dems Vow to Punish Pro-Trump Corps

How many more steps until we end up a banana republic with a revolving door of dictatorships?

Ask Senate Dems who are openly threatening to punish companies for their supposed alignment with Trump.

Top Democrats are weighing how harshly they would go after corporations that have courted President Donald Trump’s approval, if they retake the House in November.

As businesses greet House Democrats’ rising midterm prospects with prep for a flurry of subpoenas and information requests, the party’s lawmakers are already drawing CEOs a roadmap for their potential majority. Judiciary Committee Democrats have sent missives since last year to Paramount, Hewlett-Packard and Alphabet, and Oversight Committee Democrats have homed in on fundraising for the White House’s ballroom renovation.

“Once we take power, whoever the president is, we’re going to break up your companies,” Sen. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., told Semafor. “So all the investment you did to create these mergers are going to be for naught. Your investors are going to be pissed at you, and you’re likely going to end up getting fired as the CEO because you wasted so much money and corrupted yourself in the process.”

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) offered a similar sentiment, writing on X, “Paramount should enjoy its growing news monopoly while they have it because when Democrats win back power we are going to break up these anti-democratic information conglomerates. All of them.” Gallego replied to Murphy, “Damn right.”

If those are the rules, then every single mainstream media corporation should cease to exist when Republicans win.

Dems are freaking out because they lost two out of their many media outlets. And they didn’t even lose them, but one was moderated.

Now they’re engaging in blatant intimidation to convince Paramount to jettison CNN so it can remain in their political camp.

But if the new rules are that any media outlet that doesn’t share the ruling party’s point of view has to be broken up, then what’s good for Paramount will be good for every single liberal media outlet in the country.

By then we’ll be playing by the rules of Sen. Gallego’s Mexico or Colombia. And that’s what Dems seem to want. A corrupt totalitarian system forever fighting for ‘liberation’ from the opposition it keeps trying to suppress.
