Yes, Chrome’s Home icon changed on Android – 9to5Google

Chrome 145 is widely rolling out on Android today with a new Home icon in the address bar.

Appearing to the left of the Omnibox, the new Home icon is sharper and drops the curved corners, though this is hard to tell without zooming in. The roof is flush with the side of this house, while there’s now a door.

This icon style has been live on desktop Chrome for some time now. To my eye, the old version looks a bit more modern and fits better with the other icons flanking the address bar.

Top: Old | Bottom: New

As a reminder, you can remove the icon if you want a slightly wider address bar, especially when the Toolbar shortcut is set. Go to Settings > Homepage to disable entirely, or switch from the New Tab Page to a custom web address.

(On desktop, tap “Customize Chrome” in the bottom-right corner of the New Tab Page for “Toolbar” to make changes.)

This is the main user-facing change in Chrome 145 for Android.
