At least two members of the far-left cell are trans.

LOS ANGELES — Four far-left extremists accused of plotting coordinated bomb attacks on New Year’s Eve targeting businesses in Southern California were charged in federal court after authorities intervened during an alleged explosives test in the Mojave Desert, prosecutors said.

A fifth trans suspect who was allegedly stockpiling and transporting firearms and body armor was arrested in Louisiana.

Federal agents arrested Audrey Illeene Carroll, the alleged ringleader, Zachary Aaron Page, who is trans, Dante Gaffield and Tina Lai on Dec. 12 after investigators say the group traveled to a remote desert location near Los Angeles to assemble and test improvised explosive devices as part of a larger plan to carry out simultaneous bombings at five locations on Dec. 31.

The four California defendants are charged with felony conspiracy and possession of unregistered destructive devices.

Micah James Legnon, a former Marine turned radical leftist trans activist, was arrested by federal authorities on Dec. 13 in New Iberia, La. Legnon, who is a self-identified Satanist, uses the aliases “Kateri” and “Black Witch.”

The Post Millennial can exclusively report that Legnon worked as an officer at the New Iberia Police Department from August 2019 to May 2022. He was hired after being honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps. In 2022, Legnon was placed on administrative leave and resigned later that year. The police department declined to comment on his departure, citing privacy.

Federal prosecutors allege the suspects are affiliated with the Turtle Island Liberation Front, or TILF, an antifa-style far-left, anti-capitalist, anti-government, pro-Palestine extremist group that advocates for “direct action” against businesses, institutions, and law enforcement.

On the group’s Instagram page, it calls for violence.

“Peaceful protest will never be enough,” reads one post. “We are up against fascist colonizers…We cannot vote ourselves out of a mass colonizer occupation.”

According to the criminal complaints, the defendants planned their actions using aliases in an encrypted Signal messaging group called the “Order of the Black Lotus.”

Audrey Carroll allegedly provided a confidential FBI source with an eight-page handwritten document titled “Operation Midnight Sun,” which detailed plans to plant backpacks containing “complex pipe bombs” at multiple sites operated by two U.S. companies engaged in interstate commerce. The plan called for comrades to detonate the devices simultaneously on New Year’s Eve, when fireworks could help mask the sound of explosions.

The document also outlined operational security measures, including the use of burner phones, wearing black bloc disguises, changing clothing, altering walking patterns to evade identification, and destroying electronic devices after the attacks, prosecutors said.

Federal agents said the group took concrete steps toward executing the plot, including acquiring explosive precursors, PVC pipes, fuses and other bomb-making materials.

On Dec. 12, the defendants traveled to Lucerne Valley in San Bernardino County, Calif. where they allegedly set up a campsite and began preparing components to assemble explosive devices before being arrested.

An FBI bomb technician determined that the materials recovered at the site could have been readily assembled into both improvised explosive devices and Molotov cocktails, court records state.

Search warrants executed at the defendants’ residences allegedly uncovered additional evidence, including a handwritten copy of the attack plan, bomb-making tools and materials, extremist propaganda, and items linked to the Turtle Island Liberation Front.

Authorities also said the investigation uncovered discussions about potential future attacks beyond New Year’s Eve, including alleged plans to target Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and vehicles in early 2026.

Carroll’s mother had asked the public for help in finding her daughter, unaware that she had been taken into federal custody.

“I’m still trying to find my daughter, Audrey aka Sky Miin, in LA,” Maylee Israelson wrote on Instagram. Her mother’s Facebook family list reveals that Carroll operated an alias account using the name “Sky Miin.”

An account on Reddit with the display name of “Sky Miin” features a banner photo of Carroll wearing red and the profile text: “I’m from Turtle Island, f— ‘america’ lmao Lesbian 🍒 Anarchist #FreePalestine🇵🇸 #TurtleIsland.”

The account links to Carroll’s other social media accounts, showing that she uses variations of the screen name, “PrettyLesbiann.” A far-left extremist account on X with the display name of “Sky Miin” and the username “@prettylesbiiann” discussed going to Los Angeles direct actions in black bloc and warning the public earlier this year to “check the news” regarding what she planned to do to release ICE detainees.

At a news conference in Los Angeles following the arrests, federal officials said the case underscores the continued threat posed by domestic extremist networks that organize online and move rapidly from rhetoric to operational planning. Officials credited the use of confidential sources, surveillance and coordination among federal agencies for disrupting what they described as an imminent and dangerous plot.

Federal prosecutors allege Legnon used social media and encrypted messaging platforms to express violent intent toward law enforcement and ICE agents, referenced the deadly 1993 Waco siege, and discussed weapons and tactical training with members of the same Signal group tied to the California bombing plot.

He posted on Facebook that it was “time to recreate Waco tx with these f—kers. F— ice.” Legnon was responding to an inflammatory anti-ICE post by leftist commentator Tim Miller.

Legnon’s Facebook is also filled with posts expressing Antifa views.

His last post, on Dec. 12, is a share of a viral post from liberal influencer account MeidasTouch which dismisses the FBI investigating organized Antifa violence.

On Dec. 10, Legnon wrote, “Nazis don’t deserve to live.” The same day, he shared a post which read, “Dead Nazis are harmless. Therefore, if i kill a Nazi I’m saving lives.”

On Legnon’s Instagram (“@darkwitch96x”), he posted military tactical training instructions and a TILF graphic urging comrades to “take up arms.” He also celebrated the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

The California criminal complaint alleges that ringleader Carroll discussed a member of TILF being former military and possibly being able to help them get parts to build unregistered semi-automatic rifles.

The Louisiana criminal complaint says Legnon was observed loading firearms and body armor into his vehicle before being stopped and searched by authorities. Prosecutors allege weapons, ammunition and tactical sniper manuals were later recovered from his residence.

The North East Expanse Coalition, a blog for Antifa members and extremist anarchists, reacted by brushing off the arrests and urging their comrades to keep up their attacks.

“Do you all know how many times people successfully carry out and get away with direct action because of careful planning and being actually ‘clean on OpSec?’” the post reads. “Be dangerous in the dark, but be boring in the light. Waste the government’s precious resources with your caution.”

The defendants are scheduled to be arraigned in early January 2026.
