Watch Live: Senate Debates War Powers Resolution After Strikes on Iran

The United States Senate reconvenes to hold a debate and vote on war powers resolutions after the United States and Israel carried out joint strikes on Iran this weekend.

President Donald Trump announced that the United States had launched large-scale strikes in coordination with Israel against Iran in the early-morning hours Saturday, killing Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and targeting missile batteries after negotiations last week to prevent the Islamist regime from developing nuclear weapons failed.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Caine held a joint press conference Monday morning to detail the operations in Iran and allay fears that the United States was embarking on another forever war.
