March 27 (UPI) — Authorities in Wisconsin’s Juneau County are asking local residents to be on the lookout for a kangaroo that escaped from a petting zoo.
The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post that the kangaroo, named Chesney, “pulled a full-on prison break from Sunshine Farm in Necedah” on Wednesday.
“Only in Wisconsin would we wake up to ‘Have you seen this kangaroo?'” the post said.
The sheriff’s office shared a photo of Chesney clad in a denim diaper, but the petting zoo said the marsupial was not wearing it when he escaped.
A follow-up post Friday morning said Chesney is still on the loose, but was spotted by a drone team Thursday night. The kangaroo appears to be “hanging around the same general area,” officials wrote.
