Dec. 12 (UPI) — Authorities in Missouri called in a crew of cowboys for help when a highway crash left 13 cattle on the loose.
The Missouri Highway Patrol confirmed a crash involving two tractor-trailers on Interstate 70 in Oak Grove caused 13 cattle to escape from one of the trucks on Wednesday.
Authorities called in personnel from Butler-based B&W Land & Cattle to help round up the scattering bovines.
“We like to help out the ones in need,” cowboy Kolby Boos told KCTV. “It’s always a challenge because you never know where they’re at or how they’re going to be or if they’re going to be mad and want to fight you … You don’t know.”
The crew was able to wrangle all of the missing cattle.
The drivers of both vehicles were uninjured, the Missouri Highway Patrol said.
