March 27 (UPI) — A Virginia man bought 20 identical tickets for a single Pick 4 lottery drawing and ended up winning $5,000 for each ticket — a total of $100,000.
Hampton resident Prentice Douglas told Virginia Lottery officials he plays Pick 4 every day, and always selects the numbers 3-2-3-8.
He visited the 7-Eleven on Cunningham Drive to enter the March 7 drawing, and on that occasion he bought 20 tickets, each with the same set of numbers.
Each ticket scored a $5,000 top prize in the drawing, earning Douglas a total prize of $100,000.
Douglas said he does not yet have any plans for his winnings.
