Rumor: 007 First Light delayed indefinitely on Nintendo Switch 2 [update: summer delay] – Nintendo Everything

Original: Rumor has it that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of 007 First Light has been hit with its own delay.

007 First Light was originally planned for release for all platforms on March 27, 2026. IO Interactive later pushed the launch back to May 27, 2026, and last we heard, the new date also applied to Nintendo Switch 2. But now apparently there’s been a new delay specific to that console.

Graczdari is behind the new rumor. A screenshot was shared showing an internal shipping system, with the game listed as ‘delayed’ for Nintendo’s system.

There’s at least some credibility here. Graczdari previously leaked release dates for games including Starfield and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on PlayStation and outed the boxed version of Oblivion Remastered.

007 First Light could be joining Borderlands 4 as another Nintendo Switch 2 game hit with an indefinite delay. 2K and Gearbox did this with Borderlands just days before its release. As of now the status of that title is unclear.

As of now there’s been nothing official from IO. If the company does share an official statement, we’ll let you know.

Update: A statement has now been released, confirming the delay. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will be out this summer.
