Jan. 30 (UPI) — An Ohio man said his father’s tradition of giving scratch-off lottery tickets as Christmas presents resulted in his winning a $100,000 prize.

The Columbus man told Ohio Lottery officials his father has a tradition of using tickets as stocking stuffers, and this year he received a Holiday Lucky Times 10 ticket in his stocking.

The man said he initially scratched off a $10,000 prize — but soon revealed more $10,000 prizes on the same ticket.

“They just kept on coming,” the player recalled.

His winnings from the ticket ended up totaling $100,000.

The winner did not reveal whether he has any plans for his prize money.
