Mario Kart World 1.6.1 update out now, patch notes – Nintendo Everything

Nintendo is back with another update for Mario Kart World, bringing the game up to version 1.6.1.

This patch is about bug fixes, so there aren’t any new additions here. Nintendo addressed two specific issues this time around.

The full rundown is as follows:

Mario Kart World version 1.6.1 update patch notes

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed an issue where you would sometimes not get a speed boost upon landing after starting a rail ride following a Jump Boost or similar action.
  • Fixed an issue where the game would sometimes end when switching between TV mode and handheld mode / tabletop mode after starting a game with three or more players in Multiplayer.

It probably won’t be much of a surprise that this is a small patch given what just went out recently. Just a couple of weeks ago, the game was given a new Bob-omb Blast mode, item adjustments, and much more. In case you missed it, we have the full details about that patch here.

Mario Kart World is currently available on Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide.
