April 3 (UPI) — Police in Pennsylvania are trying to find the owner of an elusive peacock seen wandering loose in a neighborhood.
The Lower Moreland Police Department said officers responded recently to a report of a peacock on the loose in the area of Frederick Road and Robert Road in Huntingdon Valley.
Police were unable to capture the peacock, but spoke to wildlife experts who said the bird may return home on its own.
“Should any resident see the peacock, please do not attempt to capture as it can/may become aggressive during this time of the year,” the department said.
Police said they will continue to monitor the situation and are now attempting to identify the animal’s owner.
