Gunman Opens Fire, Injures Two At Old Dominion University

Two people were hospitalized after a gunman opened fire at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, on Thursday.

At 10:49 a.m., the gunman opened fire in Constant Hall, injuring two people, according to an emergency alert from the school.

The Norfolk Police Department confirmed both victims were transported to the hospital for medical treatment. Immediately, Old Dominion University and Norfolk Police responded.

The gunman is now deceased and students were evacuated from the scene. The school has canceled all classes and operations for the day.
