An explosion has damaged a Jewish school in Amsterdam, according to Dutch media.

The city’s mayor Femke Halsema said she believed the overnight blast was a targeted attack against the Jewish community.

Police and fire services were able to respond to the explosion quickly.

Damage to the school was limited.

It is not known if there were any casualties.
