Ex-CIA Dir John Brennan Proposes Trump Coup Over Iran War

Former CIA Director John Brennan, rumored by some to have converted to Islam, chatted with Ali Velshi, formerly of Al Jazeera, currently of MSNOW (formerly MSNBC) and made a pitch for a coup against President Trump.

Former CIA Director John Brennan said Saturday that he believed the 25th Amendment “was written with” President Trump “in mind,” comments that come after multiple Democrats pushed for Trump’s ouster following his intense threats toward Iran.

“I think the 25th Amendment was written with Donald Trumps in mind, because allowing someone like this to continue to be the commander-in-chief and to control the tremendous capabilities of the U.S. military, including our nuclear weapons capability, which he seemed to allude to when he said he’s going to just eliminate a entire civilization.”

Unless Brennan is completely ignorant of American history and I doubt he’s ignorant to that degree, he knows perfectly well that the 25th Amendment was written with the JFK assassination and Eisenhower’s heart attack in mind.

The one president since then who presented a possible 25th Amendment case without being physically incapacitated was Joe Biden, the guy every Dem also insisted was “sharp as a tack” until he suddenly wasn’t.

What Brennan is proposing is a seditious coup.

“If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.”

18 U.S. Code § 2384 – Seditious conspiracy

And he ought to know it.

Brennan is understandably upset about the downfall of Iran. As is Velshi. No one wonders too much why Brennan is opposed enough to the Iran War to propose a coup.

John O. Brennan, Mr. Obama’s top adviser on counterterrorism and homeland security, told Bill Gertz of The Washington Times in October that preventing Iran from making a nuclear weapon could only be achieved through persuasion.’

Brennan published a long article on Iran in July 2008, expressing a benign view of the Islamic Republic and harsh criticism of U.S. policies that he believes have driven Iran in the wrong direction. “While it may serve some narrow political agendas to lump together a wide variety of Iranian policies and actions that are antithetical to U.S. policy aims under the rubric of state-sponsored terrorism, U.S. strategic interests require a more nuanced analysis of and less absolutist approach to this problem….Instead of pursuing a nuanced strategy that could have allowed flexibility in U.S. policy, the Bush administration regrettably opted to conduct its activities under the overarching banner of “The Global War on Terrorism” and declared it would make no distinction between terrorist operatives and their state sponsors.”

But that’s no excuse for pushing a coup.
