Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Martin Luther King Jr., slammed the Southern Poverty Law Center for funding abortions and trans surgeries on kids, as well as acting like the KKK, during testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday.
The Judiciary Committee held a hearing titled “The Southern Poverty Law Center: Manufacturing Hate, Part II.”
King went off when Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) defended the SPLC’s infiltration of right-wing groups to incite violence and compared it to Trump’s $1.776 anti- weaponization fund to reimburse January 6 patriots who were set up and persecuted by the same people or adjacent groups.
As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan went off on the SPLC during his opening statement, highlighting the Department of Justice’s indictment against them for funneling millions in tax-exempt funds to neo-Nazi groups and manufacturing the hate they claim to combat.
The indictment charges the SPLC with wire fraud, false statements to a federally insured bank, and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
One of the SPLC employees was even in a relationship with a field source who was being paid $1.2 million to “create and foment the hate they told their donors they were fighting,” said Jordan.
“They became the standard, the source for determining who was a hate group,” and used their power over the Biden Justice Department and FBI to target conservative groups like Moms for Liberty, Turning Point USA, Alliance Defending Freedom, and pro-life Catholics, Jordan said.
Jamie Raskin later defended the SPLC's practice of inciting right-wing groups with the help of the Biden FBI by claiming that millions of dollars spent by the SPLC was used to "expose the work of the extremist groups."
After attempting to justify the SPLC's undercover informants and trashing the weaponization fund in questions to SPLC Interim President and CEO Bryan Fair and Institute for Constitutional Advocacy Protection Director Mary McCord, Raskin asked King if she thinks Trump's anti-weaponization fund should be shut down, calling it a "slush fund."
But King responded with fire, arguing that the SPLC's far more sinister slush fund should be shut down.
"I think some of these slush funds that SPLC is using," she said as Rasking interrupted, saying, "Okay, but my question is about the one proposed by Todd Blanch. It's a yes or no.
King fired back, "I will not answer. I think they need to stop killing the babies and cutting the penises off, and so any slush fund with money in that is a problem!"
Later, Raskin related the SPLC's infiltration and incitement of violence with right-wing groups to the FBI going undercover to expose mafia organizations, narco traffickers, and international human traffickers, and argued that the SPLC's practices did not defraud donors.
King spoke up, highlighting the fact that the SPLC is actually organizing with the groups to incite violence and criminal activity, unlike law enforcement operations that infiltrate criminal syndicates. "So, do you pay the same people to do the bomb, and then go and comfort the people from being bombed? You pay the same people to do both jobs. That's kind of fraud to me. That's weird and chaotic and confusing," she told Raskin.
Raskin then asked if she had evidence of the SPLC bombing anybody and she fired back, highlighting the similarities between the SPLC's work with law enforcement to the Ku Klux Klan's involvement with police in the 1960s. "Outside agitators did bomb our house in ’63 and then ran back and took off the Ku Klux Klan sheets and put on police things and ran up in the yard. It was the same people, it was crazy!" she said. "Both of them do the double jobs, SPLC does. Really, you hire them to do the bombing, then you're hire them to fix the bombing? That's weird!"
Raskin then seemingly tried to intimidate her with accusations of perjury, saying, "You're asserting a lot of things under oath, and you haven't brought the evidence with you."
"I'll get some for you," she fired back.
