“Our initial review of the evidence presented to us indicates that certain individuals and/or groups have committed acts that appear to violate the law in targeting DOGE employees.”

US Attorney Ed Martin confirmed on Monday that Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) employees are being targeted in “violation of the law.”

“Our initial review of the evidence presented to us indicates that certain individuals and/or groups have committed acts that appear to violate the law in targeting DOGE employees,” Martin wrote. “We are in contact with FBI and other law-enforcement partners to proceed rapidly. We also have our prosecutors preparing.”

While Martin did not provide any names of individuals or groups, he did say that arrests were incoming.

The message comes after an earlier message by Martin informing Musk that threats to DOGE workers will not be tolerated.

“I recognize that some of the staff at DOGE has been targeted publicly. At this time, I ask that you utilize me and my staff to assist in protecting the DOGE work and the DOGE workers. Any threats, confrontations, or other actions in any way that impact their work may break numerous laws,” Martin wrote.

“Let me assure you of this: we will pursue any and all legal action against anyone who impedes your work or threatens your people. We will not act like the previous administration who looked the other way as the Antifa and BLM rioters as well as thugs with guns trashed our capital city. We protect DOGE and other workers no matter what.”

This comes after several groups and individuals posted DOGE employees’ information following the department’s access of the US Treasury’s federal payment system.

Reporters at Wired tweeted out a list of DOGE employees. The DOGE workers were publicly named, and others began threatening them.

Musk would then go on to X and tell users that posting the names of employees was a crime.
