Trump Border Czar Vows To Prosecute Dem Governor For Harboring Illegal Alien At Home

President Trump’s border czar Tom Homan has promised to have New Jersey governor Phil Murphy prosecuted after the Democrat admitted he has been allowing an illegal immigrant to reside in his home and dared the federal government to “try and get her.”

Murphy made the comments at a public event with “Blue Wave New Jersey,” stating “There is someone in our broader universe whose immigration status is not yet at the point that they are trying to get it to and we said, ‘You know what? Let’s have her live at our house above our garage’ and good luck to the feds coming in to try to get her.”

When Fox news host Sean Hannity asked Homan about the remarks, he responded, “I think the governor is pretty foolish … I got note of it. Won’t let it go. We’ll look into it.”

“And if he’s knowingly, knowingly  harboring, concealing an illegal alien, that’s a violation of Title VIII, United States Code 1324. I would seek prosecution or the Secretary would seek prosecution,” Homan further emphasized.

Homan added, “So maybe he’s bluffing; maybe he’s not; we’ll deal with that. And as far as suing sanctuary cities, well, get in line, because the Trump administration’s going to do that already.”

“Sanctuary cities are sanctuaries for criminals,” Homan asserted, adding “With one example, sanctuary cities in New York City. If they would have gave us over the killer of Laken Riley when he got arrested in New York City for endangering a child, he would have been in jail and he would never have killed Laken Riley.”

“Sanctuary cities are responsible for deaths of thousands, thousands of young children throughout my career. And we’re going to sue ‘em. … Look, we’ve got the Supreme Court; that’s what President Trump wanted to do. He will end sanctuary cities,” Homan urged.

Murphy: We are housing an illegal above our garage. Good luck to the Feds who will try to get her.

As of Friday, ICE had arrested more than 7,400 illegals and lodged more than 6,000 detainers,  which are requests to take custody of an illegal alien from a local or state police department.

The agency is making around 1000 arrests per day since Trump took office on January 20.

Homan wants to step up the numbers by having less rigorous, state-level jailing standards apply to illegal immigrants so more can be held by local authorities before being deported.

“If that’s good enough for a U.S. citizen in your county, it’s good enough for an illegal immigrant detained for us,” Homan said Saturday during the annual National Sheriffs’ Association meeting.

“Homan said at an annual meeting of the National Sheriffs’ Association in Washington, D.C., that the administration was working to allow U.S. sheriffs to detain migrants in their jails using their state-level standards instead of more rigorous U.S. Immigration and Customs…

Trump also announced last week that the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security will be authorised to ship ‘the worst of the worst’ illegal aliens to be incarcerated at the infamous military detention centre in Guantanamo Bay.
