Obviously it’s a satire piece and I must state that I understand this – but you need to understand something. Why is it that we use southern stereotypes to make fun of JD Vance? Things that don’t even apply to him? That he has no claim to? Do you honestly not get it?

As always. Despite the fact that the southern US is not a monolith of hate. Maybe if we didn’t contribute to the mindset that right wingers own these things, that it is simply a part of our nation’s culture that all can do – and should be able to do without shame – we’d be able to have a little more southern support. But we’re not about that are we?
